1. Relationship with Yamjoy
A merchant participating on Yamjoy operates its own restaurant or food business and is responsible for its licences, staff, premises, food preparation and compliance obligations. Yamjoy charges no commission on restaurant orders. In Kenya, New restaurants receive a 14-day free trial without payment. Yamjoy Restaurant then costs KSh 499 per 30 days. Trial or paid access enables menu management and new customer orders; settings, wallet and payment history remain available after expiry. Optional restaurant boosting costs KES 300 per month; it does not override delivery distance, country or currency eligibility. Delivery, payment-provider and SMS charges are separate and must be disclosed before purchase. Available purchase methods, billing periods and renewal terms are shown before confirmation. No subscription is activated until payment is verified.
2. Menu and availability
Merchants must keep menus, prices, operating hours, item availability, descriptions and any legally required product information accurate and current.
3. Food safety and quality
Merchants are responsible for complying with applicable food-safety, hygiene, licensing, labelling and public-health requirements and for using packaging suitable for delivery.
4. Orders
Merchants should accept, prepare and update orders promptly and should not mark an order ready before it is reasonably ready for collection. Repeated avoidable cancellations, inaccurate availability or unsafe practices may lead to review or restriction.
5. Customer data
Customer information supplied through Yamjoy may be used only as needed to fulfil, support or lawfully administer the relevant transaction. It must not be used for unrelated marketing without a valid legal basis.
6. Payments and records
Yamjoy or its payment partners may collect and settle amounts in accordance with the merchant's commercial agreement. Merchants remain responsible for their own taxes, invoices, accounting and regulatory records.
7. Suspension
Yamjoy may temporarily restrict or suspend merchant access where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, repeated service failure, legal compliance or investigation of a serious complaint.
